Integrated Science

Integrated Science is a mixture of sciences designed to prepare students for the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT).  Most of our
assessments are based on similar questions students are likely to see on the actual OGT in March.  Students are
encouraged to look at old tests that have been released by the ODE in preparing for tests as well as preparing for the OGT.

Four main areas of Integrated Science
(
times are approximate)
1. Science Ways of Knowing (first 6 weeks)
2. Chemistry (9 weeks)
3. Physics (12 weeks)
4.  Earth & Space (9 weeks)

Final Exam is Wednesday, June 2, 9:09 to 10:24 in Room 216.

It is an OGT-style exam which is mostly comprised of past science OGT questions about the content
covered in the 9th grade curriculum. Students will need to bring pencils for the exam.

Parents:
Every week students should be coming home with a weekly schedule of progress showing all of their grades for the
previous week. These are due to be signed and returned by the Friday of the following week. This gives students usually
4 to 5 days to bring them to you for you to look over and return to the school.

Please assist me in keeping the lines of communication open. A weekly progress report will look like the one you will find when you click
this link; HOWEVER, your son's or daughter's will have grades filled in the far right column. Please do not sign a blank
progress report as these do not communicate any information.
