Competency

Checklist

The above link is to the competency checklist which details
the areas of school librarianship as described by the
Pennsylvania Department of Education.  Each competency
(bulleted item) has been ranked based on my knowledge
and experiences through the Mansfield University School
Library and Information Technology Masters Program.  The
level of attainment was ranked according to the following
system
HIGH--I have complete competency and confidence that I
could complete this task without the assistance of an
instructor or mentor librarian.

MEDIUM--I have the knowledge but not the experience to
carry out this competency. I would require the assistance of
an instructor or mentor librarian.

LOW--I do not have the knowledge or skills to complete this
task without further training.

Due to my excellent training through Mansfield University
and four internships, I have rated myself as highly
competent in all of these areas.
