Another key component of this step is the collaboration process
with other teachers to produce a coherent lesson that covers
subject-matter objectives as well as information literacy skills. This
document shows a lesson that was collaboratively put together
with a computer technology applications teacher, science teacher,
special education teacher, and a school library media specialist.

When students are being taught by two or three different
instructors such as during a collaborative lesson being taught in
the library, they often become confused on how they will be
assessed. Confusion also may arise as students often work on
researching projects over a long period of time.  This document
shows the expectations and assessment technique for a lesson.

Assessment Guide.)

Also, students who are learning about information literacy, need to
learn about the cycle of finding, exploring, evaluating, and
presenting information. The following link is to a multi-page
website unit that was constructed to show students how to use the
Big 6 Model in a collaborative science lesson. (Click here for a link

Science Vacation Unit and to the Phases of Newton Unit.)
