Domain 4:Professional Responsibilities
One role of the school library media specialist is to be an advocate of the
library program with all aspects of the school community including students,
their families, teachers, and the community at large. One way to reach out to
the community is to collaborate with grant opportunities that bring together
various learning partners. This document is a government grant that was
created to solicit funding for a mobile, wireless laptop computer lab. (Click
here for this grant.)
Another way to keep advocacy for the library program is to assist with
access and copyright issues. This document is a pamphlet for teachers as a
result of a workshop on Fair Use policy. (Click here for the Fair Use
pamphlet.)
